PlastikMedia is a growing B2B digital marketing agency, specialising in the plastics manufacturing sector. We’re looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and proactive Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our friendly team near Lutterworth. This will be ideal for someone who wants to make their mark and become integral to a growing business.

This is an office-based role to assist and learn to shape our marketing team’s work, utilising various digital marketing channels, including email marketing (MailChimp), social media (LinkedIn, Twitter), press releases and digital news, webinars, SEO, and website management.

You will work closely with all areas of digital marketing, to assist with the design and production of campaigns and helping the team to achieve agreed targets.

We are privileged to work with the leading companies in the plastics industry, and this role involves the ongoing digital marketing activities of PlastikMedia, sister company PlastikCity, and our varied client base of over 260 companies.

Day to day tasks and responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

Learning to drive the development and ongoing implementation of PlastikMedia and PlastikCity’s marketing plans and growth objectives

Learning to manage multi-platform marketing campaigns for third-party clients, including planning, implementation, analysis and stakeholder management

Staying up to date with the latest trends in marketing and manufacturing, to ensure continuous innovation and improvement of our services

Learning to design and deliver company mailshots using MailChimp, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign as required

Writing and publishing content on WordPress websites

Learning to manage websites, third party plugins, and other website admin (with basic HTML and CSS coding)

Learning to utilities third party SEO & website tools such as Moz, Google Analytics to analyse results and report to client

Assisting with the continued growth of company social media channels, using analytics and insights to measure and increase engagement

Entry requirements

Five grade 9-4 or A*-C GCSEs (including English and Maths) – the ideal candidate would have achieved a higher grade in English.

The successful candidate must have their own means of transport to travel to and from our office in Claybrooke Parva (near Lutterworth), Leicestershire. Free-on site parking is available.

Training to be provided

You will undertake the ground breaking Apprentify Digital Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship.

We have designed our programme to offer you 4 distinct routes to focus your career path and specialise in areas such as Social Media, Search Engine Marketing, Web Design or Web Development. These paths are designed to jump start your career and make you stand out in a competitive field increasing your future earning potential.

During the 15 months of training you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across three Knowledge Modules:

Marketing Principles – starting with the basics you will learn how to effectively target customers based on their wants and desires as well as how the sales and marketing funnels work. You will understand what makes customers buy or not buy and how marketing can influence this as well as how to effectively focus on target markets and manage customers to make them loyal to a business.

How the Web Works – delving into the technical you will learn the Principles of Coding and how marketers create effective web sites, designs and user interfaces. This includes how web design and development drive engagement and conversions.

Driving Return on Investment – using data to create detailed customer insight, you will learn how to use industry leading platforms (including Google Analytics) to understand the online customer journey and improve your marketing based on customer usage of your website.
