The role is to provide support to everyone in the Company, helping them be productive when using technology and systems. You will configure and maintain the Companywide systems and infrastructure, rectifying issues to ensure productivity and efficiency is maintained.

You will have support from experts in the field, be enthusiastic about developing your knowledge skills and behaviours and working towards completing your apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day front-end support including resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests
  • Answering calls and general data input activities
  • Software / hardware technical support, including support for Video Conferencing and mobile telephony users, testing hardware, PC upgrades and testing non-standard build software
  • Assist with the purchasing / specifying of new hardware (Laptop / Desktops) and software applications Networks and Communications
  • Dealing with security incidents and installation of firewall policies
  • Configuration of wireless policies and troubleshoot of user issues
  • General administrative tasks expectant within an office environment
  • Undertake billing activities
  • Onboarding of customers and providing customer support


Entry requirements

  • Must have a driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Must have achieved a C/4 or above in GCSE Maths AND English
  • Good communication skills
  • Motivation to learn and open attitude to feedback
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Logical and creative thinking
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • PC literate
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts

Training to be provided

You will be enrolled onto the groundbreaking, Level 3 Apprenticeship 'Information Communications Technician'.

Information communications technicians support the delivery of efficient IT operations, this could be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults, solving technical and applications problems either remotely or in person, including resolving issues such as slow performance, connection problems and an inability to access data. 

Our ICT apprenticeship covers topics allowing apprentices to support organisations relying on computer and communication systems in all areas of their operations and decision-making processes.  As an ICT apprentice, you will develop skills and knowledge of the industry by learning key IT essentials such as fault finding and diagnostics, preventative measures, routine maintenance, system tools and testing.  You will also gain an awareness of cloud systems and physical and virtual network components including an awareness of security and firewalls, network architecture, protocols and principles of database migration.
