Reporting to the head of sales for Asset Management.
The Inside Sales Apprentice will work closely with the sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams.
The primary responsibility is to perform discovery on target prospects to identify new business opportunities for the sales team. This person will be responsible for qualifying new prospects primarily by phone, social media, and email. The role may also require providing support to the Account Management team, assisting with sales cases and penetration of existing clients.
Success of the role will be measured by prospect pipeline development in support of new business.
To discover and qualify opportunities for sales team to pursue in target accounts, the Inside Sales Apprentice can cover the following:
Performs account discovery based on ideal prospect profile criteria and documents the resulting account intelligence in prescribed sales tools including CRM.
Identify target stakeholders using online channels. Knowledge of phone, email and conversation techniques needed to identify the person in a company responsible for a specific initiative or business unit.
Able to make high volume of phone calls and sell ideas and concepts that leads to prospect/client engagements.
Screens, qualifies, and nurtures inbound marketing leads using Linedata’s sales best practices.
Supports sales with appointment setting. Effectively initiates communication via the phone, email and interacts with relevant stakeholders.
Provides product and solution information to prospect, keeps up to date on knowledge of the industry, as well as competitive position of company.
Build relationships through prospecting and marketing events and campaigns to nurture prospect and client interest.
Maintains accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
The successful candidate must have grade 4(C) in maths and english GCSE
Strong communication, interpersonal, writing and telephone skills.
Good problem-solving abilities.
Excellent PC skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Good organisation and time management skills.
Experience within customer service.
Knowledge of CRM systems would be advantageous.
Some previous sales experience.
Excellent research skills using online channels such as corporate websites and LinkedIn to identify target stakeholders in prospect and client accounts.

The Sales Process: You will begin to master objection handling and closing sales as well as how to negotiate with prospects to achieve better results.
Product Project: you will learn to analyse your market in detail and propose opportunities for new business for your organisation that are suitable for your product line.
Sales Ethics and Legalities: you will gain an appreciation of legislation that affects sales and how to sell your products and services in an ethical manner.
System Security: you will learn about how IT systems keep customer data secure and the principles of secure coding.
Account Management: You will develop your skills in customer communication to win repeat business with your prospects and learn the importance of cultivating long term relationships.
The Cloud and Unified Comms: you will learn about how organisations utilise cutting edge tech to streamline processes and protect from cyber attacks.
