The Information Technology team is responsible for the provision of an effective and responsive technical support service to IT users across the College, and for the development of a reliable, resilient IT infrastructure to support the business needs of the organisation. The team is split into a number of groups, each of which has responsibility for delivering specific parts of the IT support required.
You will report to and work closely with the Senior Network Engineer supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the IT Services across the College.
You will be assisting with the management of the College Networking Infrastructure providing technical knowledge and skills to assist in delivering improvements across all areas.
Based at the Sutton Coldfield Campus but will be responsible for the service across all sites and therefore will be required to work across all sites.
Roles and responsibilities:
It may be necessary from time to time to work outside of standard office hours, which may also include occasional evening and weekend work
A minimum of GCSE grade 4/C or above in both Maths and English. (Evidencable).
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Understanding of Cisco technologies is desired but not essential.
