Our platform offers a vibrant collection of toys, books, bikes, scooters, and essential baby accessories. With Whirli, families can seamlessly borrow, revel in new play adventures, and return items, all while championing eco-friendly practices and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing effective PR and communications campaigns
- Building effective relationships & interpersonal communications
- Help implement and oversee paid digital marketing campaigns across platforms such as Meta, YouTube, Google Ads, TikTok, and affiliate networks.
- Help manage the brand’s social media presence, ensuring content is tailored, relevant and engaging for specific platforms.
- Analyse and interpret campaign performance, adjusting for optimal results.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing, aligning with broader marketing, PR and company strategies.
- Keeping abreast of current affairs, the PR industry, the media and current social trends, ensuring Whirli remains at the forefront of digital marketing practices.
- Support various media tasks and projects as required, demonstrating agility and adaptability.
- Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
- Work with other brands that align with Whirli, for collaborations as well as B2B marketing opportunities.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers, managing partnerships, and analysing the impacts of campaigns
- Develop and implement targeted email and SMS campaigns with segmentation, A/B testing for optimal engagement.
- Creating captivating content for the social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content
- Developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams
- Developing and overseeing competitions and campaigns to draw attention to a brand
- Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing the Return on Investment (ROI)
- Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments and social media posts
Entry requirements
Grade 4/C or above in both maths and english at GCSE level is essential.
Qualification in a PR or marketing specific field is preferred but not essential.

Training to be provided
The Juice Academy is part of the Apprentify group. The Juice Academy is an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Smoking Gun PR to deliver the Public Relatoins & Communications assistant Level 4. Apprentices work on the job with business whilst receiving 20% off the job training. The training is delivered by current industry professionals. THe Juice Academy training sessions are face-to-face learning at Smoking Gun offices in Manchester city or can be joined remotely. Apprentices will also receive the on the job training in the workplace.
The qualification will include:
- Level 4 Public Relations & Communications assistant.
