Acclaim Handling have over 40 years experience and are a key supplier of forklifts and materials handling equipment, including access platforms and warehouse equipment across the UK. Looking for a well-spoken and articulate individual, confident in their own ability to provide an outstanding service and contribute to the wider organisation.

We are looking for a driven, positive, professional individual who is eager to take on a varied role based around sales and web support. With over 40 years experience in industry, our client are a professional materials handling service provider specialising in servicing, hire, sales, leasing, and training. 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Initiating the sales process with potential customers over the phone.
  • Diarising call backs to generate appointments for Sales Managers at the relevant time.
  • Ensuring CRM has the correct contact information for the decision makers, Job Titles, Email Addresses and Phone Numbers.
  • Gathering and documenting accurate customer information onto our CRM Database.
  • Answering customers' initial questions on the products and services offered.
  • Passing Leads for products offered on Website, including tyres and forks.
  • Making qualified appointments for Sales Managers and briefing them in advance of the prospects requirements.
  • Website maintenance.
  • Stock management.
  • Prepping and picking physical stock orders.
  • Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries.

Entry requirements

A minimum of grade 4 in both maths and english at GCSE level.

Training to be provided

A Sales Executive is a sales person working in either the Business to Business or Business to Consumer markets with the responsibility to sell a specific product line or service. They plan their sales activities, lead the end-to-end sales interaction with the customer and manage their sales internally within their organisation. They will be responsible for retaining and growing a number of existing customer accounts, and generating new business by contacting prospective customers, qualifying opportunities and bringing the sales process to a mutually acceptable close.

A Sales Executive will develop customer relationships by establishing rapport and building trust and confidence in their own and their organisation’s capabilities through demonstration of detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge and an understanding of the market in which they operate, and by ensuring a positive customer experience.

Things to consider

Commission structure on top of basic salary. Provided own equipment such as iPad and mobile phone. Opportunity to move into a more specialist role after period of time working with multiple business functions.

Future Prospects

Permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship programme. A Level 4 Apprenticeship standard as a sales executive.
