We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Tech and Data team as an Assistant QA Technician. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Quality Assurance (QA) and software testing. In this role, you will support the team in testing and ensuring the quality of our software, systems, and applications. You will gain valuable experience and training in a tech-driven environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in manual and automated testing of software, systems, and applications to ensure functionality and performance.
• Work closely with developers and IT teams to identify, document, and track bugs and defects.
• Perform regression, functional, and usability testing on new and existing software.
• Help to test new and existing software to make sure it is working as it should.
• Support the team in following QA best practices and processes.
• Assist in analysing test results and reporting issues in Linear, JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and usability standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the software development lifecycle.
• Stay up to date with QA methodologies, tools, and emerging trends in software testing.

Entry requirements

A strong level of both written and verbal english (grade 4/C or above at GCSE)

Strong analytical and numerical skills (grade 4/C or above at GCSE)

A relevant qualification to the software field (IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security etc.)
