Why take on a Software Tester Apprentice

The Level 4 Software Tester has been developed to play a significant role in testing that the delivery of your software operates as intended. Testers typically design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure that software is fit for purpose. They document and report the results of testing activities. They have a good understanding of the software lifecycle and software development practices

All our programmes are virtually delivered nationwide and our coaching sessions can be done online. So if you are looking for a flexible solution with little or no face to face then our programme is the one for you. Why not watch our latest employer video by clicking on the image below.

Technical Skills Learnt

Throughout the Software Tester apprenticeship, your apprentice will learn a variety of technical skills and abilities which will greatly benefit them and the business they work for. We teach these mostly through online sessions, where the fresh recruit will find themselves amongst similar apprentices who are learning at the same time.

Testing Principles
Introduction to Programming Using Java
Test Design Techniques
Maths and English skills
Punctuality skills
Communication and Interpersonal skills training

General skills Learnt

Not only are the technical abilities that are learnt an important aspect of any apprenticeship, but also the general skill development of an employee’s recruit. The apprentice’s very own Development Coach is a helpful aspect of our apprenticeship offering. They are available to track progress and provide support, including Maths and English skills or punctuality.

MTA - Java Part 3

In the last part of this Java course, learners will be introduced to Automation testing tools like Selenium WebDrive. They will analyse test requirements and designs and prepare a test plan. They will then design simple test strategies for projects and finally will implement software testing procedures to ensure agreed errors and security issues are identified, recorded, prioritised and corrected before release.

It took us a few attempts to find an apprenticeship provider who was able to fit our specific requirements. We love Apprentify's process and their customer service. As a result of that, we hired six apprentices! We will definitely be using Apprentify again. If you are looking to hire apprentices to join your company, we couldn't recommend Apprentify enough!

“‘The great resignation’ means there is a huge demand for digitally equipped talent. This is pushing up salaries and means SMEs are being ‘squeezed’ as they struggle to compete with the corporates. If we’re going to meet 2030 digital demands, we need to start to think creatively now.”
