The British Fashion Council (BFC) are looking to bring in a dedicated, fashion enthusiast to join their designer relations & membership data team. Do you have a strong interest in fashion and are looking to start a career in the data sector? This role could be perfect for you!

The British Fashion Council (BFC) is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to further the interests of the British fashion industry and its designer businesses by harnessing and sharing collective knowledge, experience, and resources of the sector. Formed in 1983, the BFC is funded by industry patrons, commercial sponsors, and the government including the Mayor of London and the ERDF. It leads the industry through creative influence and is strategically repositioning British fashion in the global fashion economy.

The Designer Relations & Membership Department primarily works towards London Fashion Week and onboarding new members to our Membership scheme, along with additional designer support and communications. We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Apprentice to support the Designers Relations and Membership Executive & Manager. The primary focus of the role is to assess Tier 1 visa applications and support the team through data management and reporting .

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing Tier 1 visas, researching and adhering to the deadlines.
  • Updating information on Tier 1 information sheet.
  • Managing and maintaining  multiple Excel trackers and database, updating as necessary on a daily basis with new data.
  • Maintaining contact lists and ensuring that the data is up to date on LFW, BFC Membership and Low Carbon Transition Programme.
  • Collecting and researching data on BFC Membership.
  • Extracting data for reporting purposes from BFC Membership.
  • Researching and populating data on BFC Membership target list.
  • Manually update the CRM to ensure all contacts are correct and updated.
  • Create and maintain CRM lists for different audiences.
  • Managing guestlists on CRM for BFC member events, ensuring that the correct contacts are on.
  • Supporting LFW Profile Designers with updating their profiles
  • Assisting with Membership through processing applications and updating trackers.
  • Sending renewal reminders to BFC members.
  • Liaising with the different departments within the BFC to deliver projects in a timely manner

Entry requirements

A minimum of grade 4/C in both Maths & English GCSE.

A clear interest and knowledge of british and international designers and an awareness of fashion publications.

Training to be provided

Our Data Apprenticeships, Data Technician Level 3 and Data Analyst Level 4 will give you and the apprentice the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to work effectively in roles such as: Data Analyst, Data Manager, Data Scientist, Data Modeller, Data Architect and Data Engineer.

This apprenticeship is the perfect introduction to a career in data analysis. Job roles include Junior Information Analyst, Database Technician, Data Support Analyst and Junior Data Analyst. Data Technicians are responsible for collecting and processing data under the guidance of a senior colleague or multiple colleagues across the business.
