Overview

QDC is a leading UK Microsoft partner specialising in Microsoft Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions. Their team of experts bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, equipping businesses with the tools they need to fully leverage Microsoft’s PPM platform for unparalleled project management success.

They are now looking for an ICT apprentice to join their dynamic team.

This role is full time and based at the company's premises in High Wycombe.

 

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing ICT support to clients, including creating issue tickets
  • Providing information and guidance on ICT matters
  • Carrying out fault-finding and problem solving
  • Managing security, storage and backup of systems
  • Routine IT maintenance
  • Disaster recovery and network maintenance

 

Desired skills:

  • A passion for computers and ICT and a willingness to learn more
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Very enthusiastic with a desire to learn; not shy about getting stuck in
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Good customer service skills are a benefit but not essential - passion for the industry and desire to learn is more important

Training to be provided

Apprentify's ICT apprenticeship covers topics allowing apprentices to support organisations relying on computer and communication systems in all areas of their operations and decision-making processes.  As an ICT apprentice, you will develop skills and knowledge of the industry by learning key IT essentials such as fault finding and diagnostics, preventative measures, routine maintenance, system tools and testing.  You will also gain an awareness of cloud systems and physical and virtual network components including an awareness of security and firewalls, network architecture, protocols and principles of database migration.

£14,000 - £16,000 salary dependant on experience. Full time role based at the company's premises in High Wycombe.

Future Prospects

Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship. Potential of a permanent role with progression opportunities upon successful completion of the programme.
