Overview

QDC is a leading UK Microsoft partner specialising in Microsoft Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions. Their team of experts bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, equipping businesses with the tools they need to fully leverage Microsoft’s PPM platform for unparalleled project management success.

They are now looking for an Application Support Apprentice to join their dynamic team, studying on the ICT Apprenticeship programme.

This role is full time and based at the company's premises in High Wycombe.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing application support to customers, including managing the incidents' lifecycle from logging and triaging through to investigating. diagnosing and resolution via a ticketing system
  • Acting as a point of contact for users, offering guidance and support on the use of applications
  • Monitoring platform performance and proactively identifying potential issues
  • Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to support application enhancements and fixes
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for support processes including known issues and fixes
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of support processes and user experience

Entry requirements

  • A passion for ICT and a desire to get into the industry
  • GCSE maths and English grade C/ level 4 or above

Training to be provided

Apprentify's ICT apprenticeship covers topics allowing apprentices to support organisations relying on computer and communication systems in all areas of their operations and decision-making processes.  As an ICT apprentice, you will develop skills and knowledge of the industry by learning key IT essentials such as fault finding and diagnostics, preventative measures, routine maintenance, system tools and testing.  You will also gain an awareness of cloud systems and physical and virtual network components including an awareness of security and firewalls, network architecture, protocols and principles of database migration.

Future Prospects

Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship. Potential of a permanent role with progression opportunities upon successful completion of the programme.
