Ready to kick‑start your creative career? Blue Lozenge is on the lookout for a passionate Content Creator Apprentice to bring fresh ideas, bold energy, and real creativity to our communications team.

This isn’t a “make the tea” kind of apprenticeship. You’ll be right at the heart of meaningful campaigns — from women’s health and violence reduction to maternity services and youth engagement. Your work will genuinely make a difference.

You’ll collaborate with a friendly team of experienced comms pros, creating standout digital content across multiple platforms. Think photography, video production, social media storytelling, branding, copywriting, and campaign planning. By the end, you’ll have a portfolio packed with work you’ll be proud to show off.

Alongside hands‑on experience, you’ll study for your Level 3 Content Creator qualification — learning from specialists who’ve delivered award‑winning healthcare campaigns. You’ll build sector knowledge, sharpen your creative instincts, and develop the strategic thinking that will set you apart in your future career.

Entry requirements

Qualifications Required: 

  • 5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and Maths)

Skills Required: 

  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
  • An interest in and natural flair for visual content creation (photography, graphics, video)
  • Willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Good written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow creative briefs and brand guidelines
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with team members and clients across different accounts
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts
  • Comfortable working with scheduling and planning tools
  • Numeracy skills for interpreting analytics and engagement data
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple content projects
  • Openness to feedback and continuous learning

Training to be provided

The Juice Academy is a digital marketing Academy based in Castlefield, Manchester. They train up to 80 apprentices a year, whilst the apprentices work with businesses around the North West (and sometimes further afield!). The training is delivered by industry professionals from their sister company, Tangerine Communications. The Juice Academy training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning within the academy in Castlefield, and online delivery via Zoom. Apprentices will also receive the on the job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices are expected to produce a portfolio of work and complete a series of assessments. Full digital marketing training to be provided on-the-job and off-the-job. The Juice Academy partner with Apprentify, who support apprentices in the workplace through development coaching.

The qualification will include:
