Proudly part of Apprentify Group

Apprentify isn’t just one business, it’s a group committed to shaping the workforce of tomorrow and providing learning opportunities to anyone, regardless of background. The Apprentify Group is formed of six businesses: Apprentify, Netcom Training, Flourish, Ioda, The Juice Academy and Calibr.

Each of our specialist brands draw on the collective expertise, insight and infrastructure of the wider business. From digital skills and early career talent to leadership development and cultural transformation, our group model enables us to deliver end-to-end capability across every layer of the modern workforce.

We offer flexibility across every aspect of our service, whether that’s aligning financing with Levy, commercial or hybrid funding streams, delivering closed or open cohorts or tailoring our learning design to meet specific business needs.

Our story

Closing a gap in the apprenticeship market

Closing a gap in the apprenticeship market

2018

Founded in 2018, Apprentify was created to solve a major challenge: businesses struggling to find, train and retain skilled talent within the digital sector. CEO Jonathan Fitchew — having trained 30,000 graduates over 25 years in his previous business — launched a specialist digital and tech apprenticeship provider to disrupt the market.

Developing our very first programme

2019 Jan

Five staff members worked tirelessly to develop a best-in-class training solution. We moved into our first home at The Colony in Wilmslow and shaped our first programme — Digital Marketing Level 3 — which welcomed its very first apprentices in March.

The pandemic

2020

COVID-19 hits and businesses evaluate their futures. Apprentify steps up to support employer partners with marketing consultancy and audits. Despite the economic climate, we launch Marketing Executive Level 4 in August 2020.

Stepping into tech

2021

We begin development of new programmes including Software Developer Level 4, Software Technician Level 3, Data Technician Level 3 and Data Analyst Level 4 — expanding from digital into tech. By October we launch our 13th programme and win our first Adult Education Budget bootcamp contract.

Beginnings of a Group: acquisition of Netcom Training

2022

The business secures significant investment from BGF to support ambitious growth plans. We acquire Netcom Training — a regional provider of bootcamps and adult skills programmes based in the West Midlands. Today, Netcom is a national skills provider working with several combined authorities.

Making it official with The Juice Academy

2023

The Group acquires long-term partner The Juice Academy, expanding the offering to include Multi-Channel Marketer, Hospitality Marketer and Fundraiser. With investment in delivery, programmes and footprint, The Juice Academy now supports learners and employers nationwide.

Building Group capability: acquisition of Ioda

2024

In a move to expand into leadership, management and culture, we acquire Ioda — a long-standing training provider with an excellent reputation. Within a year, Ioda sees a 50% increase in new business driven by cross-selling across the Group.

Flourish & Calibr join the group

2025

The Group continues to expand with the addition of Flourish — a specialist in sales recruitment and training — and Calibr, our in-house content and media production studio. Together, the six brands now deliver end-to-end workforce capability across every layer of the modern workforce.

AI pivot: the next chapter

2026

Apprentify pivots to lead on AI, data and tech training — developing a suite of new programmes including AI Activator, AI Catalyst and AI & Automation Practitioner. As the UK’s only government-funded provider with TechSkills Gold accreditation for AI, we are positioned at the forefront of the UK’s AI skills agenda. Turnover reaches £26m; over 5,200 learners trained.

Proud of our people

We believe in growing our own. Our team reflects the values we champion in the businesses we work with; inclusive, ambitious and forward-looking.

With industry-leading sales expertise across the Group, we run annual Sales Academies to find, train and develop the best sales talent.
