UK Flour Millers is the representative organisation for the flour milling industry in Great Britain and Ireland. We are looking for a Digital Learning Design apprentice to join the business, initially to focus on administration of our training and development activities. Every year UK Flour Millers provides training for some 600 students, both in the UK and overseas.
UK Flour Millers is a respected trade association at the heart of the food sector. Flour millers run efficient businesses providing an ingredient found in 30% of supermarket foods and accounting for around 20% of dietary energy and a similar proportion of key nutrients such as protein, fibre and many minerals and vitamins.

They collaborate with stakeholders such as subject matter experts, clients, and technology professionals to define learning contexts and create effective learning designs. Digital Learning Designers ensure the use of appropriate learning models and frameworks, supporting and advising on the implementation of learning technologies to improve learning and assessment strategies.
In their daily roles, these designers interact with a wide range of professionals, from educators and IT staff to marketing and management teams. They work independently or as part of a team, reporting to project managers or senior learning designers. Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of digital learning content, they ensure compliance with legal and professional standards, manage project specifications and timelines, and provide progress reports to stakeholders. Through ongoing professional development and engagement with communities of practice, Digital Learning Designers stay at the forefront of their field, continually enhancing the learner experience.
