Digital Editorial Apprentice

GM Design

We’re seeking a Digital Editorial Apprentice to support our Editorial and Account teams in producing high‑quality written and visual content for GM Design’s international clients. This well‑rounded role offers strong agency experience and hands‑on learning across multi‑channel marketing.

Overview

As our Digital Editorial Apprentice, we’ll help you learn the skills needed to:
 

  • Update and implement content into a range of client marketing materials and CMS tools with high levels of accuracy. This includes proofing, checking of spelling, grammar and formatting of content
  • Help ensure visual and written content meets gm's standard of work and defined corporate identities
  • Brief Designers on image amends and identify required assets
  • Maintain project management tools with key information, such as dates and progress status
  • Follow marketing activity plans to determine upcoming project requirements, and communicate these with the relevant Project Manager
  • Provide essential administrative support for a range of agency tasks, including the preparation of translation documents, implementation briefs and database files
  • Support copywriters in optimising web copy in line with SEO best practices
  • Efficiently prioritise individual workload with a high degree of professionalism


As well as the key duties of this role, we welcome apprentices to identify business areas or tasks where they can further practice key learnings from their apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

Essential: 5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-5 or equivalent (including English and Maths)

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written English
  • High attention to detail
  • Confident communicator
  • Able to quickly adapt and develop skills in the latest web platforms
  • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

Training to be provided

You will work towards achieving a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketing Apprenticeship.

Future prospects

Future progression to Junior Content Editor or Account Executive upon successful completion of apprenticeship.
