Apprentify is amongst the first training providers in England to be officially approved to deliver the new Level 5 AI Leadership apprenticeship unit.

The unit is designed to help senior professionals develop the strategic AI capability their organisations need, treating AI as a leadership discipline rather than a standalone technical subject. It will be available to employers from 28th April 2026.

A uniquely integrated offer

What sets Apprentify apart is the combination of two complementary areas of deep expertise. Apprentify brings nationally recognised capability in AI, data and digital apprenticeship delivery - Ofsted Outstanding, with quality achievement rates above 70% across technology programmes and a track record of delivery for organisations including the BBC, B&Q and JD Sports. Part of the Apprentify Group, Ioda contributes more than 30 years of senior leadership and organisational development experience.

Together, this means learners develop AI not as a bolt-on, but as a core component of effective leadership practice.

What learners can expect

The AI Leadership unit is built for professionals operating at a senior or strategic level. Participants will develop the confidence to drive organisational transformation through AI strategy, alongside critical thinking, ethical understanding and leadership-level decision-making in AI-driven environments.

Industry-validated curriculum

Apprentify's curriculum is kept current through active partnerships with Microsoft, Intel, TechSkills and CompTIA, ensuring learners are always developing skills that directly reflect employer needs.

Dale Walker, Director of Education at Apprentify, said: "Apprentify is uniquely positioned to deliver the AI Leadership apprenticeship because we combine nationally leading AI, data and digital apprenticeship performance with three decades of proven leadership and organisational development expertise. This integrated capability allows us to teach AI as a leadership discipline rather than a standalone technical topic, and that's exactly what employers need right now."
